Hello
I'm Maricela Zúñiga and early childhood education is my passion. I hold a Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education from Texas A&M Commerce and I have 18 year teaching experience. I've taught Pre-K through 1st grade. I always enjoyed making resources for my students and sharing my classroom management strategies with coworkers. Glad to have you in my space.
My Story
I began my teaching career in the Spring of 2006, I wanted anything but kindergarten and that's exactly where I landed. I was blessed with an amazing mentor and kindergarten became my heart. After 11 years in kindergarten I moved to 1st grade, it was fun, but being departmentalized was not for me. I went back to kindergarten for two years and then was moved to pre-k. I went kicking and screaming, but I love it now! Regardless of the school I was at or the admin, I had I have always been complemented on my classroom management and the activities I have in my classroom. I've always enjoyed making engaging resources for my students and had been told by many that I should sell them on TPT. So in the fall of 2019 I published my first few resources. Since then I have added several more and became much more active on social media. I want to expand my horizons and share what I know to all pre-k and kindergarten teachers who were not blessed with an amazing mentor that I was and be there for them like she was for me.
